Our Sustainable Agriculture and Environment Conservation Program empowers rural communities — particularly women — to adopt climate-smart farming practices that restore ecosystems, boost productivity, and enhance resilience. Situated in Uganda’s southwestern highlands, the Kigezi region is characterized by steep, rugged terrain, which is prone to soil erosion, deforestation, and land degradation. These environmental challenges threaten food security, biodiversity, and livelihoods, especially in communities that heavily rely on small-scale agriculture.
